Perhaps

Dear 3b students and Katja!
YOU'RE THE GREATEST!
If you really want to continue doing this, I'll reconsider.
Until then, nice greetings from this guy.

Final question

HEY, WE'VE MADE IT. THIS IS THE FINISHING LINE.

UROŠ, NEJC, ALJA, SILVA, SABINA, URŠA, MILENA, MATEJA, ANA K., TINA, ANJA, PETRA, VESNA, MARJETKA, VID, KATARINA and Katja

Thank you for joining me at this experiment.

You've really outdone yourselves! CONGRATULATIONS!

One last question for you to answer:
Do you think that blog as such has a future in learning English at school?

Check out another video

Uroš has found another video of Dennis Woodruff. If you want to check it, click on video.

Watching it, I thought to myself OH MY GOD. I can hardly believe that they put this guy into our Student's Book. Awful, really awful.

Saturday 27 January 2007

The last task

For this you need PC loudspeakers.

Click on Dennis Woodruff and watch his video.

You've read about him, now you've seen him.

What's your opinion? Do you think he'll ever be as famous as for example Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford?

Exercise No 4

Who does this car belong to?

This is how he made himself recognisable.

How would you make yourself recognisable? Any ideas?

Tuesday 23 January 2007

The next task

For Dennis there was no other job than being an actor. What about you? Have you thought about your future career?
Here's a list of Best jobs in America (the top 50). Look at it.
Is there a particular job on the list that interests you? Can you explain why?

Monday 22 January 2007

The second task

Dennis Woodruff acts in his own films which are kind of autobiographical.

Imagine that you are directing your own film about your life.

Which segments of your life so far would you include in this film and why? Birthdays? Entering Secondary School of Economics? Holidays?

Your first task

We were reading about Dennis Woodruff. Remember him? In his quest to become famous, he handed out videotapes of his films, wore T-shirts with his name on it, modified his car.

Now a question for you.

What are you prepared to do to achieve what you want?

Monday 15 January 2007

Dear students!

You know what people are saying: "you need to go with the flow". Technology is changing, people are changing, needs are changing. So I've decided it's time to try something new. To spice up our English a little bit. I'm sure you've heard the word "blog" already and most of you probably know how to use it. I don't think it'll be a problem at all. I shall give it a trial period - let's say a fortnight. Approximately two or three times a week I'll publish something that'll be discussed in the classroom; it may be connected with a certain topic (if you remember eg. Woodruff), grammar (eg. Present Perfect Continuous), all in all being useful for your learning. You're more than welcome to participate. I'll be glad of every comment you send.
So what do you say? Shall we give it a go?
